-Reflections of Time-Photography -

“I love what I do.”

In 2004, I moved with my family to Bend, Oregon to pursue a better quality of life. In doing so, I’ve gained the opportunity to achieve my dream of becoming a portrait photographer.

I have always had an interest in picture taking. I’ve studied photography in college and have assisted with professional wedding photography – but mostly I am self-taught.

After the birth of my child, I truly realized my passion for capturing all those special moments in time. I love what I do – and I try to make that feeling obvious in my work and with my clients.

Clear Complexions-Rachel Collins

Partnership of Home Care and Professional Treatments
• For the best results in facilitating changes in skin conditions, it is imperative the client understands this is a partnership.
• 70% of the changes are a direct result of Client Compliance with Home Care.
• I can do treatments every week, but if there is not good home care it is a waste of their money and my time!
Good Home Care Protocol
5 Basic steps to a good home care regimen include:
• Cleansing 2X daily (this includes masking and scrub cleansers)
• Using a nutritive Toner for skin type or condition
• Application of Treatment products for conditions
• Hydration
• Protection (Sunscreen, Moisturizer)
Cleansers
The first step towards healthy skin is proper cleansing. This step removes oily residue, dead skin cells, and waste by-products.
• The face should be cleansed at least twice daily.
• It is important to cleanse off your night treatment products so your day treatment products will be able to work & Visa-Versa.
• Cleansing skin at night removes makeup, oils, bacteria, pollens and pollutants. This when the skin repairs itself, so it is important to cleanse every evening!
Masking
Very Important, yet most forgotten Step!
Masking activates your body’s “self cleansing mechanism” through stimulating an immune response.
• To work properly it must be applied thick enough to prevent any exchange between the skin and the environment.
• This will create a “suffocation” effect causing the nerve endings to send a message to the brain that says, “help.”
• Masking will stimulate blood flow to bring oxygen, nutrients, and hydration to your skin and carries away the waste products
• This helps with acne, congested, and dehydrated skins, and large pores.
Using Scrubs
As we age, cell turnover slows down. Exfoliating skin encourages new cell growth. Historically, people used sand to physically abrade or exfoliate their skin.
• Keep your scrub in the shower and use it two to three times a week, especially after a Mask.
• Benefits of using a scrub include:
1) encourages cell turnover in lower layers of skin
2) deep cleansing & removal of excess oil
3) massages skin to improve circulation
4) polishes and softens (But do not use heavy pressure!)
5) evens skin tone
Toner
• Toner removes excess impurities, balances the skin PH and prepares it for treatment products and moisturizer.
• Provides refreshing, light hydration
• Can be spritzed throughout the day over makeup to refresh the complexion.
• Excellent for men as a soothing aftershave lotion. Leaves the skin clean and oil-free
Hydrators
• Hydrators are water-based gels that should be used twice daily to combat dehydration which is the most common skin problem.
• Just as everybody should drink water, everybody should use a Hydrating Product on their skin.
• Dehydrated skin appears dry, scaly, and flaky. It feels tight and may “crinkle” when gently pulled.
• A person with oily skin may think they have dry skin but it is really dehydrated. If they were to use products for dry skin, they would have worse problems.
**Dehydration**
Dehydration causes many skin problems and makes any existing skin condition worse for all skin types.
• When it rains in the desert, the earth is so dry it cannot absorb the water, so the rain can cause flooding. The rain will roll across the desert and fall into the cracks.
• Dehydrated skin, or “water dry” skin acts like the desert. Products cannot be absorbed by dry, dehydrated skin.
• When skin becomes dehydrated, the surface
layers of cells harden up and form a thin
covering over the surface of the skin. (Snake Skin)
• This dehydrated covering is like putting Saran Wrap on the skin – none of the wonderful ingredients can get in and none of the oil secretions can get out.
• This entrapment of oils under the surface of the skin is particularly detrimental in the case of someone with acne.
• In addition, dehydrated skin is always more sensitive or reactive.

Professional Products VS Department Store Brands?
Because these products are dispensed only by licensed skin care professionals, based upon an analysis and examination of your skin, you are assured to receive products that:
• Are more suitable for you, which costs you less, since you only buy what you need.
• Contain up to 10 times more active ingredients, which means more results.
• Have less preservatives, which means less chance for irritation.
• More natural ingredients.
You actually SAVE money because you aren’t purchasing products that won’t benefit your skin. (You know – those products collecting in your cupboard that just sit there because they don’t work for you!)
Professional Only - Clinical Skin Care
• ONLY YOURx Clinical Products begin where many over-the-counter products leave off. There are five complete product systems specifically designed for each of five DermaSolutions™ skin types
• In addition we have 2 Acne lines, a Sensitive Skin line, and an Alpha Hydroxy line
DermaprintTM Skin Analysis
Your skin care professional will conduct a thorough examination of your skin to:
• Classify your DermaPrint Skin Type
Based upon the combination of characteristics of your skin's volume and timing of oil production, follicle size and texture.
• Identify Skin Conditions
Identify and record the existence, severity and location of any of 52 DermaPrintTM Skin Conditions.
• Determine DermaPrint Skin Condition Groups
Based upon your individual Skin Conditions. When two or more skin conditions coexist, they may require a different solution than when each is present by itself, including changes to product ingredients and use, or to the number, schedule and types of treatments.
• Evaluate Your Lifestyle, Environmental and Genetic Factors, Sensitivities, Allergies and Skin Care Experiences
Assures that all ingredients, products and treatments will be further personalized to work in conjunction with these factors
Custom Blended Skin Care
What Custom-Blended Skin Care means to you:
Maximum Results
Studies show that Custom-Blended skin care may be up to 400% more effective than traditional off-the-shelf skin care products.
Why?
• Since a Custom-Blended product is made on-the-spot it has never sat on the shelf, losing its potency. Off-the-shelf items were made months or possibly even years before you finally buy them.
• In addition, since its shelf life will be only as long as it takes you to use it, your Custom-Blended product will contain the highest level of active ingredients and the lowest practical level of preservatives.
• And since it is made only for YOU – it will contain only those active ingredients that YOU need, only those active ingredients that will benefit YOU – only those ingredients that will deliver results for YOU.
Your product will be only yours (ONLY YOURx) and no one else's.
"Professional Only" products cannot be purchased online, on the TV, via home sales, or at beauty supply outlets.

Supervised Fuels

FUEL IS ONE OF THE MOST POLITICIZED, MANIPULATED, HIGHLY VOLATILE COMMODITIES IN THE WORLD!

While we have no control over the price of oil, we DO HAVE control over your company’s aggregate fuel cost……

What effects aggregate fuel costs??????

Let’s start with slippage brought about by not having the right controls in place!

As the price of fuel increases, people are becoming more brazen in stealing fuel from employers!

Lessons from the field!

A Jacksonville, FL man who used to work at the Salvation Army is accused of helping himself to nearly $10,000 in gasoline on the charity's gas card. Keith Williams, 39, was arrested on Wednesday and accused of employee theft. According to the police report, he admitted to using the Salvation Army's fleet card to pump gas at various Gate stations around town into the tanks of people he met who were willing to pay him half the price on pump in cash.

A former police officer (not local to Bend) has been sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay more than $2,200 in restitution for using a government-issued gasoline card to buy fuel for his personal vehicle. Court records say he used it more than 150 times between August 2006 and March 2007. He was only caught after a manager noticed incorrect odometer readings for the card.

The City of Richmond VA recently concluded an internal audit in 2007 that revealed some startling facts. Apparently oversight of Richmond's government vehicle fleet is so lax that someone charged almost 45 gallons of gasoline for a car with a 16-gallon tank. That's just one of 645 instances in which someone pumped more gas at public expense than the vehicle could hold.

What could this be costing a business???

According to the National Association of Fleet Administrators, slippage is between 10 and 15% for businesses who do not have a properly controlled fuel purchasing system like that of Supervised Fuels!
